We’ve heard Greens across the country who were very excited for the highly anticipated discussion between Dimitri Lascaris and Annamie Paul at the PEI Green Drinks event on August 18. 

We see these conversations as invaluable opportunities where Canadian Greens can get acquainted with leadership candidates, hear their respective visions for the future of the party and identify important points of convergence and difference.

Understandably, Annamie was not able to attend because of a family commitment. After consulting her public events calendar, our campaign sent five alternate dates to Annamie’s team to try and reschedule this event, but those did not work for her.

Fortunately, Andrew West has agreed to replace Annamie Paul on August 18th. We look forward to a spirited dialogue with Andrew about the future direction of the Green Party. We also hope to have an opportunity to meet with Annamie Paul in a more informal forum like this one before the Green Party leadership vote.
