Mostly because his foreign policy is in line with my own views.. i probably disagree with him on other things, but the political state of the world is so dangerous now that it takes precedent for me over all else....

Dimitri has the most complete platform. I am particularly interested in stopping the climate emergency, fighting for economic justice and reform, and eliminating war in favor of law. No to nuclear, no to NATO.

Dimitri has a clear message, committed, unambiguous, polarizing, and a real alternative to current discussions. His commitments will open up a new frontier for growth and renewal in the party.
Please, please, through all the emphasis on socialism, the defining feature of the Greens is the acknowledgement of the simple fact that we (humanity) are governed by ecological limits, and there are ecological limits to economic growth. Yes we have to split up the pie more evenly, but first we have to acknowledge that the pie is not magical, and does not grow the more you eat.

I will support Dimitri with pleasure. His progressive views reflect mine well.
One complaint, however, is that the concept of UBI is somewhat muted / disguised as "Minimum Guaranteed Income" in the platform. It's time for Greens to come out of the closet and unequivically support UBI. It's not scary or economically irresponsible, and it's simple! It would eliminate the need for many of the other planks in the economic platform. There's a group now being started at https://www.basicincomecanada.org/. The Green Party needs to pick up their ideas and run with them.
